Iron based materials

Iron carbonate (FeCO₃) powder is used as an additive in agricultural animal feed.

Iron oxide (Fe₂O₃) powder is used as a pigment in coatings, polymers, glass and bricks. It is also used in casting and welding fluxes, as an oxidiser in exothermic risers, and as a sinter aid in graphite electrodes.
